Light plays a powerful role in shaping the emotional layers of our newest artist Rita Matos' work. In her work she explores the notions of accumulation and disappearance with light guiding her - illuminating the subtleties of colour, texture, and form that transform with each layer.

‘Over and Over, Again’ lives up to its name with multiple dynamic and gestural marks layered over a soft, textured background. It’s circular composition creating a revolving rhythm, hinting at a cycle of thoughts that are endlessly revisited. The shifts between light and shadow, movement and stillness, evoke the persistent nature of memory and experience.

The artwork is sold beautifully framed in a solid wood tray frame, measuring 95 x 65 cm.
