the artist

a bristol based printmaker, anna harley’s eye-catching landscape prints have a stark freshness and graphic beauty. her influences are varied and reflect her nomadic childhood, an arts and craft background and connections to places like scandinavia and japan. each print-making journey is one of discovery, and she enjoys letting the process lead the artwork – embracing happy accidents and unexpected results along the way.

the story

in this ethereal and enchanting artwork we rely on the light to reveal anna’s mastery and technique. shimmering threads of diamond dust cover the branches of this great tree - bringing the magic of winter snow into the foreground. anna cleverly depicts a microcosm - taking us up close and personal to the intricacies and subtlety of the light and shadow between the branches.
