the artist

a bristol based printmaker, anna harley’s eye-catching landscape prints have a stark freshness and graphic beauty. her influences are varied and reflect her nomadic childhood, an arts and craft background and connections to places like scandinavia and japan. each print-making journey is one of discovery, and she enjoys letting the process lead the artwork – embracing happy accidents and unexpected results along the way.

the story

wild swim plunges us into the little patch of paradise that is close to anna’s summer house in sweden. part of her morning ritual is to have an early fresh-water swim on the river before breakfast, submerging her body in the cool, crisp water whilst her coffee brews at home. the yellow flag irises in the artwork were collected by anna from different points along the river – ushered closer to her pontoon platform. now a mass of yellow flowers greet anna as she wades into the river on those magical summer mornings.

this artwork is a signed and numbered limited edition of 30 screen print on somerset satin paper, printed to the deckle edge of the paper. the artwork measures 28 x 28.5 cm and is sold unframed. for framing enquiries please contact elina@artsnug.com.
