the artist

emma is interested in the places and moments where we can find calmness and space as a balance to our busy urban lives. growing up in the countryside but based in london for the last 25 years, she is always chasing space. living in such a dense city, emma finds herself drawn to creating work that has an open vista and a clear horizon. continually inspired by nature and landscape, emma is a natural compositor and uses drawing, photography, painting and printing within her craft of each unique artwork.

the story

this artwork captures one of those very special, transcendent moments for emma. another early morning walk around a beloved london park – arriving at dawn on a frosty winter morning. she spent time photographing the city, watching it wake around her. the deer’s presence alongside hers, silent partners, witnessing the beauty of this cool, fresh new day.

this artwork is a multi-layered screen print finished with a layer of unique hand-painting. please note that due to the artist’s process, each individual artwork is completely unique. the artwork is framed in a white wood frame and measures 76 x 76 cm.
