framed original cyanotype

the artist
matt's work represents mis-remembered memories of places he's visited. instead of the physical representation of the place, he tries to capture the emotions of being there. Though abstract in their nature, his memoryscapes have the power to trigger memories of our own journeys near and far.
the story
‘these walthamstow cyanotypes are the latest in my ongoing cyanpotype series which examines what we leave behind. i co-create these pieces with bodies of water of a location, surrendering to the serendipity and responding in conversation with the work. at each location, i use the local water to wash away the cyanotype solution while it is exposing and fixing. i'm excited to add the walthamstow wetlands to the list of places I have travelled to create this series.’ - matt
the artwork
this is a unique abstract cyanotype made at walthamstow wetlands by harnessing the power of water and sunlight. the image size measures 26 x 26 cm and the artwork is framed in a 41 x 41 cm slimline aluminium frame with a black oak veneer. it is also framed behind uv filter glass to dramatically minimise light damage over time.
delivery
we undertake to dispatch the artwork within 3 working days of receiving the order. there is a postage and packaging cost of £20 for this original piece. it is free to collect from the walthamstow snug.
