about the artist

jonathan creates prints with a distinctly graphic edge, reflecting his love of geometry and pattern. working in a loose, organic way, abstract compositions are formed and ultimately develop as his printing process evolves. he has a keen eye for colour and layering techniques, masking some areas off while revealing flashes of intense colour in others.

the story

“these framed pieces form a new body of work based around the exploration of surface texture. maintaining a strong geometric aesthetic, i've worked on blending a mixture of bold, flat colour with the misprinted marks and textural qualities of canvas. this has added a somewhat tactile feeling and formed a natural progression from my works on paper” - jonathan.

about the artwork

this is a unique screen print on canvas, mounted onto 5mm plywood and framed in a blue wooden tray frame. the framed size measures 23.7 x 32.5 cm.
