Light plays a powerful role in shaping the emotional layers of our newest artist Rita Matos' work. In her work she explores the notions of accumulation and disappearance with light guiding her - illuminating the subtleties of colour, texture, and form that transform with each layer.

‘Chasing the Wind’ is part of a series of three paintings by Rita Matos that explore the fleeting and intangible nature of time. Through abstract forms and a muted yet expressive colour palette, Rita captures the delicate, often unnoticed moments that pass by in an instant. The series, which also includes ‘A Pause In Time’ and ‘Moments Unspoken’ reflects on how time slips through our grasp, leaving behind traces of memory and emotion. Each piece invites the viewer to slow down, reflect, and appreciate the beauty in life's transitory moments.

The artwork is sold beautifully framed in a solid wood tray frame, measuring 24 x 29 cm.
