about the artist

Bella is a highly experimental artist who finds beauty and possibility in the forms of mundane and forgotten objects. She works in an East London Studio and lives on a houseboat with her family, travelling the waterways of London and beyond. Bella continually finds inspiration as she travels and draws elements of the landscape into her contemporary works. 

Recently working on salvaged mirrors, windows and glass, Bella breathes new life into these artefacts using the creative process. She creates artworks which play with light and reflection– the pieces dancing between the forms of drawing, painting and sculpture. 

about the artwork

‘this must be the place’ is a reclaimed mirror embellished using candle-smoke and ink on paper to create a striking and ethereal piece which functions both as a unique piece of art and a functional mirror.

the mirror is 71 x 46.2 x 1.7 cm and is strung ready to be hung straight on the wall.
