the artist

john gough is a uk based photographer, who is interested in moving away from sharp digital photography, instead using experimental techniques to try to capture the world that we see and feel, be it nature, urban landscape or people.

the story

‘village stories’ explores the transient nature of walthamstow with the artist interchangeably using ‘time slice’ and ‘in the round’ techniques. this process mimics how we actually see things and places: the eyes are constantly focusing on the specific details and elements of what’s in front of them and the brain then processes that visual information making the reconstruction, so we perceive the world around us.

the artwork

this artwork is a limited edition of 17 giclée print measuring 40 x 30 cm and comes signed and numbered. it is sold unframed (mounted to size 40 x 50 cm).
