the story

this evocative painting plunges us into the heart of chalet wood during bluebell season. the soft glow of sunset illuminates the gentle, delicate botanicals which are lost and found each year in this magical place. hundreds of waltham forest locals flood to this blue blanket each year - excited to glimpse the fleeting and exquisite beauty that nature gifts us. in this immersive large scale artwork lee infuses the scene with kaleidoscopic colour and an array of incredible textures. we are surrounded by these blooms and living amongst them - nestled into this seasonal moment in time.
