the artist

matt's work represents mis-remembered memories of places he's visited. instead of the physical representation of the place, he tries to capture the emotions of being there. Though abstract in their nature, his memoryscapes have the power to trigger memories of our own journeys near and far.

 this subtle and dreamlike artwork captures a sense of joy and wanderlust – the tingling excitement of exploring the unknown possibilities of being far from home. it gently sings to us of the lure of adventure and the uplifting promise of what may be beyond the horizon. 

the artwork

This is a unique abstract monotype on 250 GSM Hahnemuhle measuring 53 x 73 cm. It is framed floated on a soft white mount and set back within a contemporary slim white wood grain box frame measuring 65 x 86 cm. speciality art glass has been used to minimise reflection and provide uv protection.
