originally from kent, rennie pilgrem lives and works in london. he is one of a growing breed of post-digital ‘freestyle’ artists whose work encompasses everything from film, photography, painting, illustration and sound.

the story

the vibrant yellow of the rapeseed flowers against the rolling green hills creates an artwork with striking contrast and deceptive simplicity. rennie has captured one of his favourite views – the field glimpsed from his bedroom window. with the glorious sussex downs in the distance, the piece is a love letter to english countryside and a reminder of the simple yet profound beauty that can be found in nature.
