the artist

alice is a passionate young artist, designer and illustrator with a unique visual language. she uses pattern and colour to bring new life to familiar landscapes, documenting areas she loves with her signature bold colour palette and mark making. after studying illustration at falmouth university, alice moved to london and worked as a print designer for high street retailers. based in walthamstow for some time, alice developed a collection of illustrations showcasing her favourite spots in walthamstow - paying particular attention to lloyd park throughout the seasons.

the story

as a keen observer of beauty in nature, alice sees the world in pattern and colour – picking out moments to appreciate. in this winter scene she pays attention to those vivid pops of colour which spring forth even when the trees are bare and the ground stark. we see life and energy, from the moving ducks on the rippled surface of water to the low flying birds and neighbouring observers. lloyd park remains a sanctuary and haven throughout the seasons – as it was for alice and her family over a long lockdown.  

the artwork

this artwork is a fine art print on 310gsm hahnemühle german etching paper using lightfast inks. it measures 14.8 x 21 cm (a5) and is mounted to 24 x 30 cm. the print is framed in a contemporary white wood frame, measuring 27 x 33 cm.
