the artist

emma is interested in the places and moments where we can find calmness and space as a balance to our busy urban lives. growing up in the countryside but based in london for the last 25 years, she is always chasing space. living in such a dense city, emma finds herself drawn to creating work that has an open vista and a clear horizon. continually inspired by nature and landscape, emma is a natural compositor and uses drawing, photography, painting and printing within her craft of each unique artwork.

the story

this artwork captures the beauty of watergate bay, a place that holds a special spot in emma’s heart. spending countless days here with her children, attempting to surf and enjoying the carefree moments in the sea, has created lasting memories for her family. we can see rays of a glowing, setting sun as emma depicts another fleeting moment in nature. it's clear that emma's connection to this place runs deep, and her art is a testament to the joy and serenity she finds in these happy moments at watergate bay.

this artwork is a limited edition multi-layered screen print. please note that due to the artist’s process, each individual artwork is completely unique. the artwork measures 63 x 63 cm and is sold float framed with a soft white mount and slim grey frame. the framed artwork measures 75 x 75 cm.
