the artist

emma is interested in the places and moments where we can find calmness and space as a balance to our busy urban lives. growing up in the countryside but based in london for the last 25 years, she is always chasing space. living in such a dense city, emma finds herself drawn to creating work that has an open vista and a clear horizon. continually inspired by nature and landscape, emma is a natural compositor and uses drawing, photography, painting and printing within her craft of each unique artwork.

story

this is emma’s happy place reverie. she created this multi-layered screen print from multiple skies she has recorded over the years – from different locations across the globe. compositing them all in layers she has woven these various vistas together to create an incredible tapestry of imagery and marks. this is a piece which celebrates connection and togetherness. emma marvels at how, despite our differing experiences on this planet, we all share the same sky - we need only look up.

this artwork is a limited edition multi-layered screen print. please note that due to the artist’s process, each individual artwork is completely unique. this edition is float framed with a soft white mount and natural wood frame, measuring 88 x 88 cm.
