about the artist

adriana is a multidisciplinary artist originally from caracas, venezuela and now based in walthamstow. she studied visual communications in venezuela and then textiles at UAL, london.

in her studio practice she explores the interaction of colour, shape and material - asking how these elements can elevate our senses, affect our human consciousness and in turn create aesthetic experiences that enhance our wellbeing. working within a variety of disciplines including drawing, painting, sculpture and collage, adriana plays with the idea of deconstruction - finding ways to subvert traditional image-making and build something new.

about the artwork

this is an original mixed media artwork on paper, mounted to fit a 40 x 50 cm frame. The mount board has been hand-embellished by the artist to extend the artwork beyond the usual perimeters. the artwork is sold framed in a dark wood frame measuring 43 x 53 cm.
