dan whiteson is a young portrait and figurative painter from london. he studied at central saint martins and now lives and works out of his studio in tottenham. he has a fascination for the human condition and more recently worked on the impact of the digital age on human physicality.

‘lily is fierce. she is young and confident and outgoing, but so gentle and warm and a true friend of mine. she is also a brilliant figurative artist and teacher; she’s run many life drawing classes on my behalf and now runs her own groups too. this drawing for me was all about capturing that wonderful attitude and power.’ - dan whiteson
