the story
inspired by the poetry of john clare, anna takes us to another place of joy. nestled in the trees we see a figure semi-reclined – at home amongst the woodland, in communion with the ancient trees and sacred ground. the forest is a place of quiet and retreat – a space to feel grounded. for rest and slumber. this wood engraving transforms the forest landscape to something ethereal and magical, and we get a sense of the importance of this space for anna.
