the artist

a bristol based printmaker, anna harley’s eye-catching landscape prints have a stark freshness and graphic beauty. her influences are varied and reflect her nomadic childhood, an arts and craft background and connections to places like scandinavia and japan. each print-making journey is one of discovery, and she enjoys letting the process lead the artwork – embracing happy accidents and unexpected results along the way.

the story

here the bright pink and yellow palette of the flowering sea thrift and gorse captures our attention quickly, enchanting us as it first did anna when she was exploring this headland on the north coast of cornwall. during lockdown anna spent many happy hours walking the coastal pathways of cornwall and reading ‘the salt path’ by rayner winn. the joy and peace felt in this environment then naturally translated into a series of prints celebrating the area, of which this is one.

the artwork

this artwork is a signed and numbered limited edition of 12 screen print on somerset satin paper, printed to the deckle edge of the paper. the artwork measures 76 x 56 and is sold unframed. for framing enquiries please contact elina@artsnug.com.
