The Artist

Eva Ray Studio is the creative space of Laura Brown – a fine artist based in Whitstable who channels her love of pattern and colour into dream-like, gentle and distinctive pastel artworks. Highly inspired by her time living and studying jewellery design in India, Laura’s work sings of the aesthetics of spaces like Jaipur and Kerala, whilst also drawing on her coastal surroundings in Kent.

Laura’s creativity was sparked by the peaceful beauty of Camber during a summer getaway.

With "Camber River", she expertly blends golden yellows and soothing blues to evoke a sense of peace and tranquillity. The painting transports you to that magical moment when you let go and immerse yourself in the beauty around you - the gentle flow of the river, the rustle of the reeds in the breeze, and the sweet scents of summer hanging in the air.
