The Artist

Eva Ray Studio is the creative space of Laura Brown – a fine artist based in Whitstable who channels her love of pattern and colour into dream-like, gentle and distinctive pastel artworks. Highly inspired by her time living and studying jewellery design in India, Laura’s work sings of the aesthetics of spaces like Jaipur and Kerala, whilst also drawing on her coastal surroundings in Kent.

Laura’s creativity was sparked by the peaceful beauty of Camber during a summer getaway.

The tranquil sand dunes and swaying grasses fuelled her imagination, leading her to create a soothing palette of vanilla, soft blues, and muted greens of “Camber Summer”. This stripped-back colour scheme captures the essence of calm and simplicity that she experienced during her time there. Every time she looks at this composition, she is instantly transported back to the warm, fragrant days of summer.

This is an original pastel artwork on paper. The artwork is 29 x 20.3 cm and it is framed in a slim natural wood frame measuring 52 x 43 cm. The artwork is ready to hang with fixtures included.
