dan whiteson is a young portrait and figurative painter from london. he studied at central saint martins and now lives and works out of his studio in tottenham. he has a fascination for the human condition and more recently worked on the impact of the digital age on human physicality.

‘adrian is one of my favourite models ever. he has an incredible physique, but unlike many other male models of similar build he is not afraid to be feminine, or humorous, or to make ugly shapes to draw from. i wanted to capture his softness in this drawing; the vulnerability and loneliness of the pose feeds nicely into the themes of isolation and disconnectedness i explore in my work’ - dan whiteson
