dan whiteson is a young portrait and figurative painter from london. he studied at central saint martins and now lives and works out of his studio in tottenham. he has a fascination for the human condition and more recently worked on the impact of the digital age on human physicality.

this is a limited edition A2 print of a pen on paper drawing, signed and numbered by the artist.

‘andy resembles a statute of a greek god and he is so committed to the physicality of modelling; taking any and every opportunity to push himself to the limit. there is always such an intensity in the classes he sits for and this pose really inspired me. he was actually holding a pole behind his back, creating a lot of tension through the arms and upper body. i’m especially pleased with the head in this piece, and how it echoes the rhythms of the torso.’ - dan whiteson

delivery
