dan whiteson is a young portrait and figurative painter from london. he studied at central saint martins and now lives and works out of his studio in tottenham. he has a fascination for the human condition and more recently worked on the impact of the digital age on human physicality.

this is a limited edition A2 print of a pen on paper drawing, signed and numbered by the artist.

‘topaz lives in scotland so i only get to work with her very rarely, but i always jump at the chance to do so when she’s down in London. a fellow artist and teacher, as well as model, she has such an inner calm and a visible contentment when modelling. smiles will flit easily across her face whilst she holds seriously challenging positions and it was this sense of serenity i wanted to bring to this drawing, alongside the usual disruption and disintegration.’ - dan whiteson
